DEBUT DAMN VANDALS LP 'DONE FOR DESIRE' OUT 23 JULY 2012
Damn Vandals have just released The Beautiful Mind EP.
The lead track was recently Record Of The Week on BBC6 Music
Breakfast show with Shaun Keaveny w/c 16 January 2012:
"Absolutely Marvellous ... we think this is simply amazing … Utterly fabulous ... one of the best rock tunes we've had for a long time. They don’t make songs as good as this anymore ... absolutely massively brilliant ... Damn Vandals, they are AMAZING!" Shaun Keaveny
... London based Damn Vandals, who have been together for just 2 years,
have already received support from BBC6 Music’s Introducing with
Tom Robinson, BBC6 Music Shaun Keavney, Artrocker Radio, NME
Radio, Artrocker Magazine, Q Radio, Amazing Radio, Total Rock Radio, BFBS and Radio2XS to name but a few with their first 2 singles
and more recent EP release.
The distinctive and powerful vocals of lead singer, London’s Jack Kansas, have already drawn comparisons ranging from Ian Curtis to David Bowie, from Billy Idol to The National.
Oxford’s Frank Pick provides the jagged guitar riffs that epitomize the dynamic, taut, post-punk rocker’s sound along with Adam Kilemore Gardens from N. Ireland on bass and Chris Christianson from Sheffield via Switzerland on drums.
Damn Vandals are now busy preparing for the highly anticipated release of their debut album 'Done For Desire' on 23 July 2012, followed by a UK tour and an expected busy summer festival season.
" Unabashed, ballsy and full of charisma, this is enough to whet the appetite but roll on the summer when the debut album lands.
A barnstormer of an EP, showcasing a well and truly mind-blowing band"
